The former mayor of Bishkek Kubanychbek Kulmatov will leave Kyrgyzstan for a while. He said this today at the final press conference.
"I don't know yet where I will stay. I should be absent in Bishkek for some time, in Kyrgyzstan. This is caused by family circumstances. In order the city not to remain without a mayor,I made decision on resignation ," Kubanychbek Kulmatov said.
He added that he didn't prepare successor, because the post of mayor is elective.
Recall, the Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic accepted the resignation Kubanychbek Kulmatov. The acting mayor now is the Vice Mayor for Social Affairs Aigul Ryskulova.
