Deputies adopted the capital's budget for 2016. The document was approved at today's regular session of Bishkek City Council, taking into account the changes and suggestions.
Budget revenues are planned in the amount of 8, 496.3 billion soms, which is 814.9 million soms more than the approved budget for 2015. The growth rate is 10.6 percent. The city budget is socially oriented: 51.7 percent will be spent on the social sphere. On the education - 3.5 billion soms, health care - 292.5 million soms, social protection - 324.5 million soms.
The draft capital budget for 2016 provides increments to the salary of employees of several agencies from 450 to 4,000 soms.
It is planned planned to spend 609.7 million soms on financing of the State General Services (Bishkek city council, mayor's office, four regional administrations and other). Defense expenditures are projected in the amount of 14.3 million soms, public order and safety - 25 million soms. Spending on environmental protection remained at the level of 2015 - 300,000 soms (for anti-epizootic measures). On repayment of foreign loans it provided 309 million soms.
In 2016 grants to municipal passenger transport enterprises will make up 227 million soms. In addition, it provides the costs of city landscaping in the amount of 190 million soms, capital lighting - 97.9 million soms, modernization of elevators - 20 million soms, fountains maintenance - 10.8 million soms, sanitary cleaning and maintenance of cleanliness in the capital - 319 million soms.
