'Immortal regiment' march will start from the South Gate of Bishkek, the press service of the Bishkek Mayor's Office reported.
According to it, the city mayor Albek Ibraimov supported numerous initiatives of citizens and proposal of Bishkek City Council to carry over the march to the South Gate of the capital. 'Immortal regiment' march will move along Abdrakhmanov Street (former Sovietskaya Steet) to Frunze Street, and come to the Eternal Flame on Victory Square.
The procession will be accompanied by the officers of the Bishkek Patrol Police Department, ambulances, fire service and employees of the Emergency Situations Ministry.
Mayor's Office of the city invites citizens to honor the memory of victims of the Great Patriotic War and to take part in 'Immortal regiment' march.
The start is at the South Gate on May 9 at 9.00 a.m.
To ensure the safety of the participants of the march, movement of the traffic will be limited at 12 intersections on Abdrakhmanov Street. Mayor's Office asks the citizens to select alternative routes on this festive day.
