Today Bishkek's Mayor Albek Ibraimov at a press conference summed up the preliminary results of socio-economic development of the capital in 2016.
According to him, the situation has improved with the trash pickup, announced tender for the restoration of the old landfill and the construction of a new one. "Formed development budget. There were changes in the city's lighting system. We will continue this program of repair of roads, repair of district roads will continue. In addition, much attention is paid to social issues. Greening of the city is continuing," the mayor said.
"In general, a significant backlog for the next year on the development of the city created. Soon there will be elections, and anyone who comes to the place of the mayor will have a systematic approach. Many questions have been solved," Albek Ibraimov said.
Recall, in the summer of 2016, he said: "If the newly elected deputies don't re-elect me, I will have to leave."
Under the law, the mayor is elected by the deputies of the city council at the time of its convocation's activity.
