At least 4,139 thousand detached houses constructed in 2009

At least 4,139 thousand detached houses were constructed over the nine months of 2009 in Kyrgyzstan, the National Statistical Committee said.

The total area of the built housing makes up 435.6 thousand m2 with assessed value of 4.4 billion soms.

Average construction cost of a square meter dwelling came to 8,800 thousand soms all over the republic in 2009. Bishkek builds the most expensive houses -18,100 thousand soms per square meter, while the cheapest apartments are constructed in Osh region - 4,500 thousand soms, in Issyk-Kul region - 4,800 thousand and Naryn region - 5,100 thousand soms for a square meter.

About 601.3 million soms has been invested in construction of schools for the period. Educational institutions with 1,254 seats have been put in commission in Bishkek, with 552 seats- in Jalalabad and 240 - in Chui regions. Moreover, kindergartens for 280 children have been commissioned in Bishkek, for 40 children - in Naryn and for 50 places - in Jalalabad regions.
