Kyrgyzstan to collect up to 500M of property tax in 2010

Kyrgyzstan plans to collect up to 500 million soms of property tax in 2010, Akhmatbek Keldibekov, chairman of the State Tax Service told reporters in Bishkek Wednesday.

Property tax will be introduced in Kyrgyzstan starting from January 1, 2010. “A large-scake explanatory work is carried out in all regions of the country, so the residents could be aware of about innovations we are putting in. Practically the whole country is covered, besides the Chui and Talas areas and the Bishkek city,” the chairman said.

Keldibekov noted that by the end of 2009 the State Tax Service intends to top the state budget’s revenues execution by 600 million soms.
