At least 121 educational institutions have been constructed in Kyrgyzstan in 2009, Kanybek Narbaev, Head of the State Architecture and Construction Agency said on January 22.

The newly built institutions can seat 35,140 students. “In 2009, there were built about 219 child day care centers, seven hospitals, 57 clinics and 357 utility objects,” Narbaev said.

Besides, construction rates reportedly grew 1.3 times in Chui and Osh regions, 2.6 times - in Batken and 3.6 times - in Talas regions.
