Kyrgyzneftegas Company produced 15.4 million cubic meters of gas and 75.1 thousand tons of oil in Kyrgyzstan in 2009, the Natural Resources Ministry of Kyrgyzstan said Thursday.

The last-year total production reportedly amounted to 819.7 million soms. “In 2010 it is planned to produce 85 thousand tons of oil and 20 million cubic meters of gas,” the ministry said.

As the news agency 24.kg earlier reported, at least 260 million m3 of gas was imported to the country from Uzbekistan in 2009, while 2010 total import is expected to reach 250 million cubic meters.

Coal mining enterprises, excluding small companies, produced 538.6 thousand tons of coal for the period. Moreover, they plan to increase coal production output up to 600 thousand tons in 2010.
