78.6 thousand entrepreneurs registered in Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan)

78.6 thousand small and medium business entities have been registered in the capital of Kyrgyzstan as of  1 January, 2010. The statement was voiced by Bishkek city administration with reference to the data of the city state statistics department.

Reportedly, number of businessmen increased by 4.8 percent in 2009 in comparison with 2008, in Bishkek. 38 thousand are doing individual labor activity in Bishkek.

According to the city administration, over 25 thousand citizens are working on a patent basis. In 2009, 262.4 thousand patents have been sold, 790.2 million soms have been received to the local budget. “Share of people, doing small and medium business, is 29.5 percent of total number of economically active population”, city administration informed.
