Electricity, gas and water production and distribution increased but secondary sector rates decreased in Kyrgyzstan

Electricity, gas and water production and distribution increased but secondary sector rates decreased in Kyrgyzstan, National Statistics Committee reports the results of first quarterly of 2012.

According it, during January-March 2012 electricity, gas and water was produced and distributed on 8.59B soms of 124 per cent comparing with the first quarterly of 2011.

In accordance with preliminary data annual GDP is 50.7B soms or 93 per cent from 2011 rate. Without taking into account Kumtor Operating Company results the GDP is 46.5B soms or 104.5% per cent comparing with 2011.

According National Statistics Committee, enterprises and services were produced on 28.2B soms. It is 72% increase comparing with the previous year. Without Kumtor the rate is 17.6B soms of 117.2 per cent from the last year rates. In total, mining industry demonstrated growth on 96.3 per cent.

Number of domestic buildings decreased down to 149.4K m3 (71.2% from 2011 rate).

Other rates of social and economic development of Kyrgyzstan are on level of 2011. Total agriculture, hunt and forest husbandry production is 101 per cent, transportation service – 101 per cent, passengers’ transportation – 102 per cent, mail and communications – 104 per cent.

Car and household appliances sales and repair also increased on 104 per cent, retail (without car and fuel sales) – 106 per cent, service trades (hotels and restaurants) – 105.9 per cent.

Besides, investment capital (108.7%) and building (112%) also increased.

Unexpected results were announced by the Committee on nominal salaries which increased on 36.4 pre cent and the current sum is 9.7K soms per one employee.
