Kyrgyzstan experiences procedural difficulties owing to the Customs Union – Kubanychbek Kulmatov

“Kyrgyzstan experiences procedural difficulties owing to the Customs Union,” the head of the State Customs Service, Kubanychbek Kulmatov, said at the round table conference “Open dialogue with customs”.

According him, businessmen face complicated situation at the Kyrgyz-Kazakh border. “These difficulties are connected with control of all responsible agencies. This is not only customs control but passport, veterinary, phytosanitary and others,” said Kubanychbek Kulmatov.

He noted that difficulties are in tightening individuals transport. “These issues are discussed now. We are looking for compromise decision and prepare our colleagues to take into account customs laws of Kazakhstan within legalization of economies of countries-members of the Customs Union.”

“We have certain requirements which must be met. However requirements on goods circulation are more severe within framework of the Customs Union. This range of issues must be addressed at intergovernmental level,” he concluded.
