Head of Kyrgyz government asked to stop discrimination of goods and services from the Kyrgyz Republic in the EEU, Temir Sariev said at a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.
According to him, the union brings together five countries. "EEU is one of the largest and fastest growing economic communities in the world. "Certainly, the development of the international activities of the union and its deeper integration into international trade requires enormous efforts and progressive steps from the Eurasian Economic Commission and the five countries," he said.
According to the prime minister, Kyrgyzstan is ready to make every effort to expand the influence of EEU in the international arena. "Basing on the fundamental principles of the Union, Kyrgyzstan offers seeking unification and reduction of tariff and nontariff barriers, existing between the EEU members, thus to refrain from measures that could jeopardize reaching of the goals and basic principles of union," Temir Sariev said.
He stressed that there are certain problems with the movement of goods from the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic to other states of the EEU. "We think that this is more connected with technical issues, but we ask our partners to consider these points more carefully and to take measures to prevent discrimination against people and goods, coming from Kyrgyzstan to the EEU countries. Citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic and entrepreneurs must feel all the positive aspects of the integration of our country," Temir Sariev noted.
