Kyrgyzstan to remind of its Afghan initiative

Kyrgyzstan repeatedly reminds the neighbors about its initiative on handling situation in Afghanistan. Kadyrbek Sarbaev, Head of the State Ministry of Foreign Affairs plans to speak up the theme Wednesday in Bishkek at the international conference on actual anti-terrorism and extremism efforts.

Official Bishkek has expressed its concerns over development of events in Afghanistan several times. Leadership of the republic called the antiterrorist coalition to revise methods of handling the situation in Afghanistan, since presence of the foreign troops did not help drug trafficking and international terrorism problems.

Couple of months ago the President Bakiev suggested Bishkek as a negotiation platform for the Taliban and their opponents.

As 24.kg.earlier reported, the international conference on present problems of anti-terrorism and extremism efforts was opened in Bishkek on November 24. Its participants exchange views about situation in Afghanistan, discuss possible coordination, along with regional and international organizations’ efforts.
