Over 20,000 Kyrgyzstanis have got migration registration in Sverdlov region of Russia in 2009, REGNUM news agency reported.

At least 77,360 foreign citizens arrived to Russia through the state border at Koltsovo airport for a year, that is 26.6 percent more compared to 2008. Therewith, more than 80 percent of arrived migrants are citizens of the Commonwealth of Independent States. The Tajiks, Uzbeks, Kazakhs, Kyrgyz and the Ukrainian form the main migration flows to Ural federal district of Russia.

“Number of registered migrants in the region has reduced by 33.4 percent, compared to 2008, and reached 190,894 thousand. Almost one in four foreign citizens obtained migration registration on the basis of post notices. The main part of foreigners in the category is citizens of Tajikistan- 26.3 percent, Uzbekistan-18.4, Kazakhstan-10.6 and Kyrgyzstan-10.3 percent,” the agency said.
