The State Committee for National Security reported on detention of the suspected members of a terrorist group, who were preparing attacks.
Press service of the committee points out that seven people were detained in the course of counter-terrorism measures. Place and time of detention were not reported.
According to the State Committee for National Security, the detainees are suspected of recruiting activities, the formation of a route for transporting of recruits to the war zone in the Middle East, preparing of terrorist acts in Kyrgyzstan.
Earlier on, the Kyrgyz authorities reported that about 500 citizens, including more than a hundred women, went to the Middle East to join the Islamist groups in Syria and Iraq, including the Islamic State.
