Bishkek residents to defend Youth Alley

Citizens are going to unite efforts to defend the Youth Alley downtown Bishkek from illegal development. Dwellers of the house № 54, day and night guard the park area, but last night the wood-cutters managed to do their dirty work.

“We went home last night and woke up from the electric saw sounds. As we ran outside, the offenders ran away, but the trees were already chopped and flowerbeds destroyed,” the citizens said.

The court trials over the constructions on the alley territory go on. “I will continue construction works,” the main contractor said at the last trial, but residents still hope to make the constructors keep their hands off the Youth Alley.
