16 Days of Activism against Gender Violence campaign to run in Kyrgyzstan

A 16 Days Activism against Gender Violence campaign will run in Kyrgyzstan, participants of the round table discussion Role of religious community in prevention of gender-based violence in society said.

The campaign will reportedly start on November 25 - International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and will last till December 10. It is planned to hold a number of informative events and campaigns, directed at drawing of public attention to the problem, with participation of non-governmental organizations and human rights activists.

At least two thousand organizations in 154 countries of the world take part in the campaign annually.
