Kyrgyzstan’s private schools saved about $3M in 2000-2010

In 2000-2010 Kyrgyzstan’s private school activities saved about $3 million, the Education institutions’ union reported.

An average sum per student is supposed to be about 2,160 soms a year. This amount is made up of taxpayers’ contributions, and also parents of children enrolled in private schools.

Russia and Kazakhstan reportedly transfer money of the normative standard students in private educational institution in favor of the latter. But Kyrgyzstan has not come for such decision yet. These funds remain in the state budget or in public schools. Thus, the amount of savings from 2000 - 2010 reached about $ 3 million.
