“The situation in urban settlement Aidarken is calm, there are no ethnic clashes,” Spokesman for the State Administration of Batken province Daniyar Ulmasov told 24.kg news agency.

According to him, an “explanatory work is carried out” among the residents of Kyrgyz and Tajik nationalities.

“The situation is stable, law enforcement officers monitor it. Four Tajik families, relatives of Dzhonibek Makhmadov with the help of Tajik Diaspora left the village in order not to create tension,” he said.

Recall, a body of cashier Kamila Abdykaarova with signs of violent death was found in the RSK Bank Office in the morning of January 26, 2012. The law enforcement agencies quickly solved an atrocious crime. According to investigators, jobless Dzhonibek Makhmadov, Tajik native and resident of Aidarken village, born in 1983, is involved in the murder. After disclosure of the murder several Kyrgyz people of the village demanded to evict the suspect’s relatives of Tajik nationality from that area.
