UNDP in Kyrgyzstan is planning to develop cooperation with AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria regional prevention centers in framework of Global Fund grant program. It is reported by the Fund grant management group’s PR-specialist Aida Mambetkulova.

According her, currently all anti-tuberculosis and AIDS medical center are being provided by all necessary medicines and medical expendables due to Global Fund assistance. “Eventually, a humanitarian cargo has been delivered to Jalal Abad, Osh and Batken provinces. The cargo contains: anti-tuberculosis drugs, antiretroviral drugs, test-systems, condoms and informational materials for $106K in total,” said in the message.

According the Global Fund grant management group head Anna Chernysheva, it is planned to provide social assistance for HIV-infected children with rations and hygiene means. Monthly, 700 lungers are having such assistance.

“It is planned to conclude direct agreements on cooperation with regional drug center, AIDS center and Department for State Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision in order to improve the assistance quality and UNDP regional offices effectiveness. Certainly, this would simplify administrative and financial procedures,” noted Anna Chernysheva.
