The future of Kyrgyzstan is based on economy of knowledge – Zhoomart Otorbaev

“The future of Kyrgyzstan is based on economy of knowledge,” Vice Prime Minister Zhoomart Otorbaev stated at the opening of the III International Fair “Education Abroad”.

According to him, the Government of Kyrgyzstan launched work to eradicate corruption. The authorities want to create paradise for investors here. The top priority is creating job places for highly skilled specialists. “The future of Kyrgyzstan is in founding enterprises. We should take model of the service economy. Our republic is lucky in this context. Asia will overtake America in terms of economy in the nearest 20-30 years, and will dominate by 2040. And we are surrounded by the countries that show good dynamics of development,” Zhoomart Otorbaev said.

He noted that there are countries that have no natural resources, but are very developed. These countries are Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea and Japan. “It is very difficult to find a prosperous country with an abundance of natural resources. Here’s a paradox! These countries fall into the trap of laziness and attachment to one sector of the economy,” Vice Prime Minister added.

“Investors need clear laws, absence of corruption, stability and safety. We will work on this. Improvement of investment climate is an absolute priority of our Government,” he stressed.

Recall, in all over 20 educational institutions from 10 countries took part in the III International Fair “Education Abroad” held on March 30, 31.
