“I’m under pressure after announcements about corruption in Hajj and Umrah Center of Religious Department of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan,” announced ihrams group leader Abdyshukur Zhuraev.

According him, Bazarbay Temishev, a head of Wakhf fund is “a grey eminence of RDMK and spread different information about him in Osh province”. “For example, like I have conviction. Yes I was sentenced but it was false case worked out by police of Osh city. I didn’t hide my conviction and wrote it in every document. Bazarbay Temishev threats, if I don’t stop telling truth then I will be “taken care”. Like I said, corruption spreading in Hajj and Umrah Center, price of hajj visa is artificially high. I demanded a report about the center activity, and my life has gotten worse. I’m under pressure of Grand Mufti Office representatives. Chubak azhy Zhalilov and his familiars are provoking me,” said Abdyshukur Zhuraev.

He also noted, the center is a “corruption system” created by Bazarbay Temishev and Chubak azhy Zhalilov. “Moreover, they stole not only ihrams’ money but established supporting group for Mufti Office protection which includes Central Asian Muslim Congress head Bakyt Nurdinov. Instead of report on spending money Chubak azhy Zhalilov create another group for his personal protection. In Osh city on Chapaev Street the Hajj and Umrah Center office opened. The rent is $500 per month. In Bishkek the Center bought 3-room apartment for $60K, despite the fact that they have already had office in the city. Cost of hajj visa is $20 – all donations included in the sum. In total it is about $100K. These money are for medreses but none of them received any money. And how did the Center earned $1.3M?” he asked.
