Kyrgyzstan institutes Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day was decreed in Kyrgyzstan. President Almazbek Atambayev signed a necessary document.

“Taking into account the necessity of highlighting the state’s and society’s attention to mothers’ status increasing as well as family institute in the country, at all. This is worldwide practice and President announced the establishment of Mother’s Day,” explained in Presidents’ Office.

According the document, third Sunday of May is Mother’s Day from now on.

Government was ordered to analyze situation with motherhood protection and family status in Kyrgyz Republic whether they suit standards of international law.

According the analysis it is proposed to develop and establish a complex program for family and motherhood support, initiate large-scale informational and educational campaign, timed to Mother’s Day.

Public officials were ordered “to do it with mass media assistance”.
