Talaibek Kydyrov: Kyrgyzstan will send 8 military observers to Syria

Kyrgyzstan will send 8 military observers to Syria. The Permanent Representative of Kyrgyzstan to UN (New York city), Talaibek Kydyrov, told today’s news conference in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

He says, recently UN Security Council has adopted a resolution on opening of peace-support mission in this country. “Over 60 states showed a wish to send peacekeepers there. 300 military observers will arrive in Syria during May. Russia, China, Brazil, Morocco have already sent their professionals. Kyrgyzstan has participated too. 8 people are chosen, and 7 of them have drawn up documents,” said Talaibek Kydyrov.

“In the beginning of 2012 we held a presentation of Kyrgyzstan for US students and other countries within framework of modeling work of the UN General Assembly. In particular, we touched upon issues of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and UN, major problems and democratic transformations,” Talaibek Kydyrov added. “20 years of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and UN were marked on March 2, 2012.”
