Brother of MP Dastan Bekeshev is convicted for illegal possession of drugs and bound over. This was told 24.kg news agency by Oktyabrsky district court of Bishkek.

The lawyer of Ruslan Bekeshev, Mr. Toktogul Abdyev, confirmed this information. According him, the court has to acquit a prisoner because all evidences were extracted with breach of law. “Policemen made unsanctioned search. If law enforcement officers got operational information they had to gather evidences and made search only after opening a criminal case and by the court’s approval,” said the lawyer.

However, he noted that he didn’t appeal from the judgment as his client is satisfied with the verdict.

Recall, on November 25, 2011 Ruslan Bekeshev, 30 years-old, was detained under attempt of drug pushing. Police seized 8 matchboxes with hashish after personal search. He was charged with illegal production, buying, keeping, transportation of drugs.
