Rallies against pawn shops in Kyrgyzstan

Today rallies against pawn shops will be held in Kyrgyzstan’s south. The representatives of youth organization in Jalal-Abad province told 24.kg news agency.

Reportedly, protest actions are planned to hold in Osh, Jalal-Abad, Kochkor-Ata cities as well as in the north of the country- in Talas, Karakol and Naryn.

“People demand the pawn shops and commercial banks to announce “vacation” for debt redemption. People simply don’t have money. We want all usurious points to be closed. But they have “cover-up” of deputies and government officials. That is why they stay up,” said in the youth NGO.

Recall, the first rallies with the demand to liquidate pawn shops were held in the republic’s south in March.
