Bakyt Egemberdiev: We demand that children kidnapping investigation should be under President’s control

“We demand that children kidnapping investigation should be under President’s control. This is only way to investigate this case correctly. Also children search center should be established,” announced Chief of Parents for Children Search public movement Bakyt Egemberdiev on today’s press conference at 24.kg news agency.
According him, kids disappeared in Naryn city two years ago. “They are still missing. Though, we had some positive examples which could lead to better results as parents who faced such tragedy shared with experience. We came to a conclusion that on-time reaction of police on such cases is absent, there weren’t any operational arrangements in order to prevent culprit’s escape, houses patrolling wasn’t initiated and bureaucracy is too strong. Cases of kidnapping and children’s disappearance are equal to cases like kettle stealing. Police doesn’t have any desire to investigate such cases as they won’t bear any fruits. MIA (Internal Affairs Ministry) system doesn’t have any motivations to investigate it either. In order to find missing human and child needs that all security services work together: Frontier Guard Service, GKNB (State National Security Committee), police and prosecutor’s office,” said Bakyt Egemberdiev.
“There is also no missing humans’ database. Police is trying to close a case under any motive. Population considers that public officials and police have some benefits from this criminal business. News agencies don’t assist operatively. When we were turning to OTRK (Public Broadcasting Company) channel we were told that announcements about kidnapping can be published at least in few days,” added Bakyt Egemberdiev.
