American Imam Yahya Hendi to visit Kyrgyzstan

American Imam Yahya Hendi will visit Kyrgyzstan on June 12-16, the U.S. Embassy in Kyrgyzstan reports.

Reportedly, he will hold meetings with students, representatives of non-governmental organizations and state agencies on the subject “Unity and tolerance in Islam”, will share experience. He will visit Osh and Jalal-Abad provinces where he will meet with students in theology, representatives of the civil society, spiritual leaders and heads of local communities.

As noted Imam Yahya Hendi works at the Georgetown University, the first American university hired Muslim priest.
