The Kyrgyz film "Sutak" directed by Mirlan Abdykalykov won the main prize of the 24th Kinoshok Open Festival of CIS countries, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. A film critic Gulbara Tolomushova informed 24.kg news agency.
According to her, the forum was held on September 13-20 in the city of Anapa, Krasnodar Krai of Russia. The jury of the main competition which consisted of Dmitry Krymov, Igor Klebanov, Alexander Kott, Rano Kubaeva and David Muradyan awarded the grand prize "Golden Vine" to the national picture, filmed at "Aytysh film" production studio.
"This is a story about a family of nomads, living high in the mountains of Kyrgyzstan. The film was, perhaps, the only film in the main feature films competition of "Kinoshock" that everybody liked to a greater or lesser extent," Irina Korneeva noted in "Rossiyskaya Gazeta".
