Domestic motion picture Kurmanjan Datka by film director Sadyk Sher-Niyaz will be shown as part of MENAR International Film Festival in Sofia (Bulgaria), an employee of theAytysh film studio Cholpon Idrisova said.
According to her, the festival will be held on January 14-31. It annually presents viewers the culture and traditions of the Islamic world, reflected in the works of filmmakers. The forum program includes the best feature, documentary and short films made in the Middle East and North Africa. Sofia MENAR Film Festival is the largest cultural event in the Balkans. More than 465 feature films were submitted to the International Film Festival in 2016. There have been selected 16 feature films, including Kurmanjan Datka.
