Poland wants to improve economic cooperation with Kyrgyzstan. The Head of Trade and Investment Promotion Department of the Polish Embassy in Almaty Wlodzimierz Kurowski told today at a press conference.
In 2015, trade turnover between Poland and Kyrgyzstan amounted to $ 26.5 million, including the import of goods from Poland - $ 23.4 million, and Kyrgyz export - $ 3.1 million. For the first 9 months of 2016, Kyrgyzstan has imported goods from Poland at $ 10.1 million.
Poland occupies the 12th place in the trade turnover of Kyrgyzstan.
Kyrgyzstan imports from Poland mechanical machinery and equipment, paper products, cosmetics, toiletries, pharmaceuticals, sugar and confectionery products, wood and furniture.
Kyrgyzstan exports to Poland tobacco, tin and tin items, vegetables, metal ores, ground transport vehicles.
"Kyrgyzstan takes an important place in the economic relations between Poland and other countries. We are in constant dialogue with the government of Kyrgyzstan to intensify trade cooperation," Wlodzimierz Kurowski said.
