Kyrgyzstan was unable to use the Polish credit of €40 million, the Head of Trade and Investment Promotion Department of the Polish Embassy in Almaty Wlodzimierz Kurowski told today at a press conference.
He noted that the recent contacts have been mainly used for the implementation of the loan agreement under the tied aid. However, the loan hasn't been used yet.
As for the Polish side, there is a consent of the prime minister to extend the life of the loan. But in the new conditions: it will be given on exact amount on which the Kyrgyz and Polish companies will conclude contracts.
The Polish side hopes that the meeting of the Intergovernmental Kyrgyz-Polish commission will be held in the first quarter of 2017. And there the representatives of Poland hope to sign contracts under the loan agreement. This project should be completed by November 2017.
The agreement was signed at €40 million at 0.15 percent per annum for 25 years. In Kyrgyzstan, the entrepreneurs may purchase equipment, goods and services in Poland by 9 percent per year in KGS under the agreements.
