National energy holding company requires "RusHydro" to refrain from commenting on Uppernaryn cascade. This is stated in the statement of the department, released yesterday.
It is noted that the National Energy Holding Company JSC puzzled to the statement of RusHydro management on a possible appeal to international arbitration court for collection of funds, spent by the Russian side on building Uppernaryn HPP cascade.
After the denunciation of the agreement on the construction of the cascade by Kyrgyz and Russian parties, negotiations on resolving the economic problems are being held. Including the transfer to the Kyrgyz side of the share of Russians in the company, who was to build and operate hydroelectric power plant.
"All this time the National energoholding insists on the need for an independent international audit. It is necessary for determining the exact costs of the Russian side. But the Russian side refuses to perform the audit. The reasons for refusal and motives remain unclear and illogical," the holding commented.
It is reported that only after the confirmation of the final results of an independent international audit, the Kyrgyz side is ready to consider the performance of its obligations in terms of compensation costs of the Russian side.
National energy holding calls on RusHydro to refrain from unjustified comments on the matter and to continue negotiations.
