The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan predicts growth of remittances from migrants to 20.6 percent by the end of 2016.
It is noted that in the first half of 2016 domestic consumption was restored, so the volume of imports increased.
Private consumption is largely formed by a significant increase in remittance inflows in 2016.
In the baseline scenario, the amount of remittances will increase in 2016. The growth will continue in 2017. The increase in remittance inflows would support domestic demand in the medium term, as well as to increase import, the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic noted.
