Most of gold concentrate in 2016 was exported from Kyrgyzstan to China, Deputy Economy Minister Bakkeldi Tyumenbaev said today at a meeting of Kyrgyzstan parliamentary faction.
He said that 9,900 tons were exported in 2015 from Kyrgyzstan, in 2016 - 10,100. At the same time, in 2016 exporters took a license to export ore from China.
Six companies deal with the export of ore in Kyrgyzstan: KyrgyzAltyn, Altynken, Kaidi, Full Gold Mining, Kazakhmys Gold, Kurandy Development.
According to the legislation of the Eurasian Economic Union, a member of which Kyrgyzstan is, ore export is licensed only in the case of export to third countries. If concentrate is exported to other EEU country, a license is not needed. Export is possible only in the case if the EEU countries have no conditions for the processing of the concentrate.
