"It is good that Kazakhstan allowed us to carry our goods at least by rail," Vice Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Oleg Pankratov said today at a meeting of parliamentary committee on economic and fiscal policy.
According to him, the Kyrgyz veterinary control system is still not recognized equivalent to the standards of the Eurasian Economic Union. This means that our meat and dairy products in general can not be transported through Kazakhstan.
"We have managed to reach an agreement with Kazakhstan on this issue at the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Union in St. Petersburg. As a result, they allowed to carry meat and dairy products by rail," Oleg Pankratov stressed.
"It is not about all the products. The ban on road transportation relates only to quarantineable products - meat and dairy," the Vice Premier concluded.
