"In Kyrgyzstan, there were failures of equipment during the elections, but only rarely," member of the Central Commission of the Kyrgyz Republic on Elections and Referendums Gulnara Batyrova said today at a press conference.
"In such cases, experts immediately solved the problems. Now everything is stable," she explained.
"Unfortunately, equipment, that reads the biometric data from the fingerprints, sometimes came into action not at the first, but the third, sometimes even at the fourth attempt. We have only five attempts. There were facts when the polling station employees could find neither PIN of passport nor biometric data. With these cases we dealt urgently. This was due to the fact that citizens have not passed biometric registration or did not check themselves in the voter lists," member of the CEC Almaz Asanaliev added.
