"Parliamentary elections in Kyrgyzstan were held fairly and transparently," executive director of Taza Shailoo Association Ainura Usupbekova said today at a press conference.
"However, fairness is the other matter, because each citizen votes by himself. About 800 our observers have worked all over the republic. We believe that the introduction of biometric registration and electronic ballot boxes proved their worth. There were, of course, minor violations, but only minor, equipment failures were mainly registered. Therefore, the new system generally worked well, it is only necessary to improve it. But the introduction of such a system has laid the foundation for transparent elections in the future," Ainura Usupbekova explained.
