CIS mission observers assessed the parliamentary elections as successful. They stated today at a press conference.
According to the head of the mission Vladimir Garkun, the process was organized perfectly. The mission began its work on September 14. At least 137 observers, 23 of whom are long-term, have arrived in Kyrgyzstan to monitor the elections.
Vladimir Garkun noted that the CIS observers visited 1,300 polling stations. "The mission had all the opportunities to conduct an objective monitoring," Vladimir Garkun said and noted that the violations were rare.
The head of the mission stressed that CIS observers have no political bias.
