The Central Election Commission of Kyrgyzstan is pursued in court by a party and 16 former parliamentary candidates from Onuguu- Progress and Respublika -Ata Jurt, CEC says.
According to it, Pervomay district court of Bishkek denied Butun Kyrgyzstan Emgek in consideration of its application for a recount of votes at 45 polling stations. Therefore, the party members applied to the Supreme Court to recall the first instance decision. The dropped out candidates also require from the Supreme Court obliging the CEC to cancel its decision on statements about their voluntary withdrawal from the list.
"Even if the CEC recalls its decision on the parliamentary candidates, only the party is to decide on their listing," CEC added.
