Elections to the local councils in six towns and 20 rural districts in Kyrgyzstan ended.
The city council, according to the new legislation, must comprise of a minimum of three parties, so the first three of those who scored the highest number of votes will receive the mandates, even if the threshold barrier of 7 percent is not overcame.
According to the CEC, in Osh were 13 parties, the same number in Karakol. Slightly more (14) participated in the elections in Balykchy. And in Tokmok and Kemin - 11 and 10 organizations. Least of all parties (five) is in Mailu-Suu town council.
