Eurasian Economic Union and China begin negotiations on an agreement on trade and economic cooperation. This was stated by the Russian Ambassador to China Andrey Denisov, RIA Novosti reports.
"Our Chinese partners and the Eurasian Economic Union begin talks on an agreement on trade and economic cooperation," the diplomat said.
The Russian Ambassador said that previously there was held a number of important meetings, visits, reached an agreement on the working mechanism of this kind of negotiations, on regular meetings of experts.
"Moreover, the sides exchanged some groundwork in preparing the draft of the future agreement, that is, the work goes on, this is a fundamentally new aspect of this year," Andrey Denisov said.
EEU - international economic integration association, formed on the basis of the Customs Union and the Common Economic Space. It has been working from January 1, 2015. Now members of the Union are Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
