Number of people, who are indifferent to the union, increases in the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union. The report of the Center for Integration Studies of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) says.
It is noted that the results of research in CIS countries in 2016 indicate that the Eurasian economic integration is still in demand among the population.
The level of public support for EEU is more than 60 percent.
A slight increase in public support for integration (from 60 to 63 percent) was revealed in Belarus. It decreased in the other countries of the Union for the year: in Kazakhstan - to 74 percent, in Russia - to 69, in Armenia - to 46 percent.
In Kyrgyzstan, EEU support has decreased from 86 to 81 percent.
The decline is connected with the growth in the number of indifferent to the union people, and in Armenia- with increase in the negative assessments.
"Honeymoon" of the Eurasian integration has ended. Citizens begin to assess the current state, integration results, how it affects their lives," Director of the Center for Integration Studies of the Eurasian Development Bank Evgeny Vinokurov said.
Separately, experts note the high level of approval of the Eurasian integration in Tajikistan - the most real candidate for accession to EEU. The public support for such a step was 68 percent in 2016, but in 2015 the figure was 72 percent.
