Kyrgyzstan stands out from the EEU countries in exports build-up, chief economist of EDB Yaroslav Lisovolik said today at the XI International Conference of the Eurasian Development Bank.
He noted that among the Eurasian Economic Union, Kyrgyzstan is a special example. During the year, the country demonstrates a growth in the exports.
"This is one of integration effects, which is so much talked about and which those who are conducting integration want to see. These are the fruits of the Kyrgyz Republic's joining the EEU," Yaroslav Lisovolik said.
The expert also noted the problematic aspects in the EEU activities. In particular, he talked about the fact that today many countries begin to use currency depreciation to improve competitiveness.
"Such devaluations race - one of the problems of the world and our regional economy. This is especially problematic when the external shocks become more frequent, which are becoming less and less predictable," Yaroslav Lisovolik noted.
