Kyrgyzstan is creating a commercial bank and an investment fund for the development and support of small and medium-sized businesses that will work on the principles of Islamic finance. This was stated today at the meeting of chairman of the National Bank Tolkunbek Abdygulov with the President Almazbek Atambayev, the press service of the head of state reported.
As noted, the work on the creation of two new financial institutions goes together with the Islamic Development Bank.
Tolkunbek Abdygulov also spoke about the state of the currency market of the country, the situation in the economy, the implementation of monetary policy and the use of the tools to keep the sharp exchange rate fluctuations and stabilization of the situation on the currency market.
The President stressed the importance of timely action to ensure financial system stability and the preservation of the stability of the national currency.
