Despite the sale of dollars by the National Bank on the currency market, international reserves of Kyrgyzstan grew at year-end. Such data is presented by the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic.
It is noted that following the results of 2016, the country's international reserves amounted to $1,969.13 billion soms. This is 10.7 percent more than in 2015.
In December, the volume of reserves for the first time in three months began to increase. It grew by 2.67 percent ($51.26 million).
Most of the reserves have been saved in June and August 2016 - $2.3.27 billion and $2. 25.73 billion.
In 2016, the National Bank has carried out 52 interventions totaling $341.51 million. It sold dollars 26 times ($149.64 million) and 26 times bought the currency ($191.87 million).
