A teenager died in an antimony mine in Chatkal district of Jalal-Abad region. Press service of the Emergency Situations Ministry reported.
According to it, the mine No. 14 collapsed at a depth of 250 meters on November 24 at 1.00 a.m. in the territory of Terek-Sai rural area. At that time, six people illegally mined antimony there.
The resident of Oruktu village, Ala-Buka district, Nurseit uulu Mohammed, 1999, died at the scene. The other five are alive and were not injured.
The locals took out the body of the teenager and handed it over to relatives. District police department is conducting an investigation in respect of the illegal miners.
