The State Border Service of Kyrgyzstan told to 24.kg news agency some details of the arrest of the radioactive cargo on the border.
According to it, a ball mill, a spray dryer, refractory bricks total weight of 37 tones were intended for private construction company in Kyrgyzstan.
In Kazakhstan, the train wasn't thoroughly checked, since it was in transit from China to Kyrgyzstan. "Radiation level exceeds insignificantly, only 0.2 microsieverts, while the allowable rate is 0.30 microsieverts," State Border Service noted.
The service explained that the train is transferred for further examinations of employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations explained to 24.kg news agency that the research will attract professionals of the Sanitary Inspection and the State Agency for Environmental Protection and Forestry.
"They will solve the further fate of the cargo," the ministry noted.
