Massive walls of snow crashed on to the Bishkek-Osh highway

The avalanche of the total volume of 360,000 cubic meters hit the Bishkek-Osh highway, the Kyrgyz Ministry for Transport and Communications told the news agency 24.kg.

The avalanche hit the 246th km of the highway in the morning (08.46 a.m.) on March 12. No victims and injured were reported.

Besides, 1,680 cubic meter avalanche hit the 129th km of the highway an hour earlier (07.00 a.m. of local time). The road was cleared up at 09.00 a.m., the traffic was opened.

Reportedly, the 132d km of the Bishkek-Osh highway was also hit by 1,440 cubic meters avalanche. The traffic is currently blocked. No victims were reported.
