A large batch of contraband fuel was seized in Chui region. Press service of the Interior Ministry reported.
According to it, over the past two days investigators have detected two facts of illegal import of petroleum products into the country. In the search for contraband, it turned out, that trucks without trailers transport diesel fuel through Dunlarova checkpoint in Tokmak town. Petroleum is transported to Vinogradnoye village. Mercedes-Benz car was detained there during draining diesel of the fuel tank. It turned out that the car had additional tanks of 8 tons. At least 4 tons of fuel has been found in them during the check. The car was placed into the car impound.
"There have been detected five Volvo and DAF cars, owned by residents of Issyk-Ata district, Chui region, which transported diesel fuel from Kazakhstan. Each of them has brought one ton of diesel fuel. The cost of transportation is 20 tyiyn per liter," the Ministry of Interior says.
Another Mercedes-Benz car was detained nearby Ken-Bulun village, the driver of which was trying to escape. The car also had an extra tank of 8 tons. It was full of fuel. Investigation is underway.
